Point′ing.
(Bricklaying.) The finishing or renewing a mortar-joint in a wall. Flat-joint pointing consists in filling the joint even and marking it with a trowel. Tuck-joint pointing. The joints are finished with fine mortar pared to a parallel edge and slightly projecting.
