Pen′du-lum-pump.

A pump in which a pendulum is employed to govern the reciprocating motion of the piston. In that illustrated, the pendulum is attached to the axis of a beam a connected by a transverse bar to the ends of the two pistonrods, and caused to oscillate by depressing a treadle b.
