Shoe-stretch′er.

An expansible last for distending shoes. The example shows one for stretching the instep. The nut, through which the operating screw passes, plays freely in the recess of the last block. The block may be elevated by a short screw taking into a nut in the last, or by a long screw resting upon a bearing screwed into said nut.

Instep-stretcher.
