(Surgical.) Instruments employed for guiding and securing the wires employed for holding together the edges of an incision. Fig. 6097 shows Sims's wire-adjuster, forked wire-pulley, and a blunt hook. These are specially required in operations on vesicovaginal fistulas, and useful in other operations requiring accurate suture adjustments.
