Roof-guard.
(Building.) A device for preventing snow from sliding from a roof. It consists usually of a continuous series of horizontal slats, slightly raised above the roof-cover and supported by uprights. In the example, the frame is attached to the sheathing beneath the shingles and carries horizontal longitudinal bars.
