Stack-guard.
(Husbandry.) A temporary roof capable of elevation, and designed to protect a stack or rick of hay or grain in process of formation; may be made by a couple of poles stayed by guys and [2297] planted in wheels. The awning is stretched upon a frame, and suspended by tackle from each spar.
