(Steam-engine.) Radius-rod. Bridle-rod. One of two duplicate rods, which, pivoted at one end to a beam and at the other to one of the hanging links, serve in the parallel motion of Watt to guide the piston-rod in a vertical direction by counteracting the vibratory motion communicated by the beam.
