Soap-boil′er.

A pan for boiling the materials for soap. The example (Fig. 5265) is a closed vat with rotary stirrers for agitating and commingling the materials under heat and pressure.

Soap-kettle.

Fig. 5266 is a soap-boiler having a large pipe which receives the vapors rising from the kettle, condenses the watery matters, and passes the inflammable vapors under the grate-bars.
