[203] οὐ μέν = Att. “οὐ δήπου”, as 233; “μέν” is virtually = “μήν”, and has no adversative force here. For the neut. “ἀγαθόν” in the next line cf. “triste lupus stabulis,” Virg. Ec. iii. 80.
