[24] The double acc. is evidently analogous to “κακὸν ῥέζειν τινά” (H. G. § 141), Ἕκτορα being governed by the complex of the verb with its acc. of the ‘Internal Object.’ The ἀεικέα ἔργα seem to imply no more than leaving the body naked and neglected — which is somewhat of an anticlimax after what has preceded.
