643. Position of pa=s, a(/pas, su/mpas.

πᾶς, ἅπας, and “σύμπας” (“συνάπας”), like “ὅλος”, are used with articular and with anarthrous substantives, and in predicative and attributive position. The first predicative position is by far the most common. Next in the order of frequency is the second predicative position. This is the favorite position of “ἅπας” in some authors, and the regular position in “οἱ ἄλλοι πάντες” and kindred forms. The attributive position comes last.
