τῶν ἑτέρων. “Glauco simul utrisque philosophum praefert experientia, quoniam Socrates quis omnium experientissimus esset voluptatum rogaverat” (viz. in 582 A τριῶν ὄντων κτλ.) Schneider. The English translators take τῶν ἑτέρων as ‘the other’ (Jowett), viz. ‘gain’; but that would be τοῦ ἑτέρου.
