ἀμείψας, of leaving a place (as Tr. 659): but it can also denote ‘entering,’ as Her. 5. 72“πρὶν τὰς θύρας αὐτὸν ἀμεῖψαι” (cp. Soph. Ant. 945“ἀλλάξαι” (of leaving), n.). πετρήρεις: here no more than “πετρίνας”. Cp. the phrase of Eur. in Ar. Th. 889“τυμβήρεις ἕδρας”, ‘seat on a tomb.’
