ἀναγκάζεις with double acc.: cp. O. T. 280.The present tense, expressing endeavour, is quite compatible with εἶ (‘dost thou intend to go..., and art thou trying to force...?’). τόδε (L) = “τὸ ἰέναι ξυμμαχήσοντα”. The occurrence of the same form in 1362 is no argument for “τάδε”: cp. 88 n.
