ἀληθεῖς, because their oracle will be fulfilled: Ph. will be brought to Troy. Thus Hom. Od.parries the thrust given by “ψευδεῖς τίθης.” ἡ δ᾽ ὁδὸς: cp. El. 1501“πόλλ᾽ ἀντιφωνεῖς, ἡ δ᾽ ὁδὸς βραδύνεται”.
