τῶν Ἀχιλλείων ὅπλων, gen. depending on the principal verb ἠξίωσαν, instead of an acc., “τὰ Ἀχίλλεια ὅπλα”, depending on the infin. This construction arises from eagerness for compact expression of the main idea,— as here the main idea is completely expressed by v. 62. The ‘epexegetic’ infin., like δοῦναι, is usu. the only word added: but here it is naturally supplemented by the words which denote the aggravating circumstances (“ἐλθόντι...κυρίως αἰτουμένῳ”). Legg. Thuc. Cp. Soph. O. C. 1211 n.— κυρίως, with good right (tuo iure), as heir of Achilles; cp. Dem. or. 36 § 32 “κυρίως δόντος τοῦ πατρὸς...κατὰ τοὺς νόμους αὐτὴν γεγαμῆσθαι”.
