οἶκονκοίτης, a home consisting in a rocky sleeping-place (defining gen.: cp. 81 n.).

ἀμφίθυρον: cp. 16.— The μὲν implies, ‘but where he is, I know not.’ The Chorus then say, ποῦ γὰρ...; i.e., (you surprise me;) for (if he is not here) where can he be?
