εὖ ζῇ, lives prosperously, as “κακῶς ζῆν”=to live unhappily ( El. 354). So Pind. ( Pind. P. 4. 131) calls festivity “εὐζῴας ἄωτον”. But in Soph. O. C. 1535“εὖ...οἰκῇ”= ‘lives aright.’ τὸν βίον, the fortunes of one's life: the subject to λάθῃ is “ὁ βίος”. Cp. El. 207(“χεῖρες”) “αἳ τὸν ἐμὸν εἷλον βίον” | “πρόδοτον”.
