ποθεινὸν ἐμοὶ: for the neglect of the usual caesura after the second foot, cp. 1470: O. C. 1760, O. C. 1771. πέμψας: cp. 846. χρόνιος here=“χρόνῳ”, ‘after a long time’ (as in O. C. 441, n.): but in 1449 “χρόνιοι”=‘for long’ (“πολὺν χρόνον”).
