καὶ τὸ θηρᾶσθαι κενά: cp. Ant. 92“ἀρχὴν δὲ θηρᾶν οὐ πρέπει τἀμήχανα”: and for καὶ, Plat. Prot.p. 317 A “πολλὴ μωρία καὶ τοῦ ἐπιχειρήματος” (‘the very attempt is ridiculous’). κενά, vain dreams that her sister could ever feel and act with her: cp. 1031 “σοὶ γὰρ ὠφέλησις οὐκ ἔνι”.
