ποθεῖ, ποθῶν δ̓: cp. 319φησίν γε: φάσκων δ᾽ οὐδὲν ὧν λέγει ποεῖ”. There, as here, there is a touch of mournful bitterness, which “οὐκ ἀξιοῖ” brings out. As to the frequent messages sent to Electra by Orestes, cp. 1154.
