ὦ σπέρμ᾽ Ἀτρέως. The dynasty of the Atreidae (“δεσπόται οἱ πάλαι”, 764) is about to be restored in the person of the rightful heir, Orestes (162), who displaces the usurper Aegisthus, the representative of the Thyestidae.
