ἀλλ᾽ οὐ τὰνκ.τ.λ.” Although the text in the antistrophic v., 1075, is uncertain, it seems probable that the words “Ἠλέκτρα, τὸν ἀεὶ πατρὸς” there represent the true metre, and that therefore Turnebus was right in deleting “μὰ” before “τὰν” here. “μὰ” is similarly omitted in O.T. 660, 1088, Ant. 758.
