ἔσχον θαῦμα=“ἐθαύμασα”: cp. 214 “γνώμαν ἴσχεις”, 1176 “ἔσχες ἄλγος”: conversely Ph. 687“θαῦμά μ᾽ ἔχει.” ἐγχρίμπτῃ is here more fitting than ἐγχρίμπτει, since the sense is, ‘in fear lest some one be close by,’ rather than, ‘to see whether some one is not close by’: cp. 581 “τιθῇς” (n.).
