τοῦ ποτ᾽ εἰσὶ: schol. “<*> εἰσὶ δεσπότου”. Their appearance in charge of the herald shows that they are captives, and consequently slaves (302): she asks, then, who is their captor. Hence a slight emphasis falls on ἐκεῖνος (244).
