ἐγὼ δάμαρτα; Another colloquialism: cp. Ar. Lys.529 f. “ἐπανορθώσαιμεν ἂν ὑμᾶς”. | —“ὑμεῖς ἡμᾶς; δεινόν γε λέγεις κοὐ τλητὸν ἔμοιγε.—τόνδε τίς κ.τ.λ.”: Soph. Ph.444“τοῦτον οἶσθ᾽ εἰ ζῶν κυρεῖ”; 431 The emphatic σοῦ seems better here than σου. It may be noted that, instead of ἤκουσεν, we should usu. have ἤκουσα: see on O. C.6.Shilleto (ap. Pretor here) was disposed, on this ground, to think that vv. 431—433 should be given to Deianeira: but they are not in her spirit.
