τοῖς μὴ καλοῖς β.: for the generic “μή”, cp. Ant.494τῶν μηδὲν ὀρθῶς ἐν σκότῳ τεχνωμένων.—ἐλπίς, ἥτις καὶ θρ. τι προξενεῖ”, a foreboding which so much as lends courage. The measures which she has taken do not allow her to think of a good result as even possible. For προξενεῖ cp. O. T.1483 n.
