ὅπως δὲ λήσεις “κ.τ.λ.”: and as for the hope of your escaping detection, not even that comes to pass (as a result of reticence). Cp. O.T. 1058 “οὐκ ἂν γένοιτο τοῦθ̓, ὅπως”... | ...“οὐ φανῶ τοὐμὸν γένος”. Instead of saying, “οὐδ᾽ αὖ τοῦτο γίγνεται, ὅπως λήσεις”, the speaker puts ὅπως δὲ λήσεις first, to mark the fresh hypothesis.
