τὸ δ᾽ αὖ ξυνοικεῖν: the inf. with art., placed at the beginning, gives an indignant tone: ‘but as to living...’ etc. Cp. Ant.78“τὸ δὲ” | “βίᾳ πολιτῶν δρᾶν ἔφυν ἀμήχανος”.
