κατασκήπτω λιταῖς, “"enjoin on you with prayers,"” is an unexampled use of this compound. On the other hand “ἐπισκήπτω” was often used in entreaty, as Aeschin. or. 3 § 157κλαίοντας, ἱκετεύοντας,...ἐπισκήπτοντας μηδενὶ τρόπῳ τὸν... ἀλιτήριον στεφανοῦν”. Wecklein supports his attractive conjecture κἀξεπισκήπτω (Ars Soph. em. p. 99) by Ph. 668 κἀξεπεύξασθαι”.
