θυμὸς δ̓. “δέ” sometimes corrects or objects: O. T. 379 (n.) “Κρέων δέ σοι πῆμ᾽ οὐδέν” (“"Nay"”).

ξύμφορον: the neut. as often in maxims, when the masc. or fem. subj. is viewed in its most general aspect: Eur. Or. 232δυσάρεστον οἱ νοσοῦντες”: cp. O. T. 542 n.
