ἐξοίχει, as 894 “οἴχεται...ἀποσπάσας”, though he is still present: so 1009 “οἴχει λαβών”. As “οἴχομαι” cannot have a pres. sense, the departure meant can be only that of his guards (847): so that “ἐξοίχει” merely adds the notion of “"away"” to ἀποσπάσας.—Cp. El. 809 “ἀποσπάσας γὰρ τῆς ἐμῆς οἴχει φρενός”, etc.
