παρίεσαν, “"concede,"sc.ἐμοὶ κατελθεῖν”, cp. 570: not “ἐμὲ εἰς τὴν πόλιν”, “"admit"” (in which sense usu. of allowing armies to enter territory, or the like: Eur. Suppl. 468Ἄδραστον ἐς γῆν τήνδε μὴ παριέναι”).
