χωρεῖν: cp. the emphatic place of “δεῖξαι”, O. T. 278. Nauck's “μέλλομεν; χώρει:” by the change to the singular number, breaks the companionship of Oedipus with the Unseen.

τἀπὸ σοῦ adv., βραδύνεται pass. impers.: delay is made on thy part. Cp. Eur. Tro. 74ἕτοιμ᾽ βούλει τἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ”: Ar. Plut. 100ἄφετον με νῦν: ἴστον γὰρ ἤδη τἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ” (for in both places it is “ἀπό” rather than “ἐπί”). Cp. 293.
