τοῦ θεῶν νομίζεται; “"to which of the gods is it deemed to belong?"” After verbs of being thought, called, etc., the gen. expresses "belonging" (1) to a possessor, as here and Ant. 738 “οὐ τοῦ κρατοῦντος ἡ πόλις νομίζεται”; or (2) to a class, as

“τῶν ἐλευθερωτάτων
οἴκων νομισθεῖς᾿

”

. With (1) here cp. the gen. of the deity after ἱερός ( Plat. Phaedo 85B “ἱερὸς τοῦ αὐτοῦ θεοῦ”).
