ποθοῦντι προὐφάνης: cp. O. T. 1356 “θέλοντι κἀμοὶ τοῦτ᾽ ἂν ἦν”, n.: Il. 12.374 “ἐπειγομένοισι δ᾽ ἵκοντο.” καί σοι θεῶν: “"and some god (cp. 1100) hath ordained for thee the good fortune of this coming"”: τύχην … ὁδοῦ, a fortune belonging to (connected with) it.—The MS. θῆκε was a mere blunder caused by transposition.
