δι᾽ ὀργῆς ἧκον, “"were in such wrath,"” rather than, “"had come hither in such wrath."” Cp. Eur. Or. 757λέξον: διὰ φόβου γὰρ ἔρχομαι”, “"for I begin to fear."Her. 1.169διὰ μάχης...ἀπίκοντο Ἁρπάγῳ”, gave him battle. Cp. on O. T. 773.
