ὠκυτόκος, giving an early reward to the cultivator's labour. Cp. “ὠκυτόκοιο Σελάνας” (because thought “ἐπὶ ταῖς λοχείαις καὶ ὠδῖσι βοηθεῖν”), poet. ap. Plut. Mor. 282 C.ὠκυτόκιον”, a medicine used in childbed, Ar. Th. 504.

πεδίων ἐπινίσσεται, a partitive gen. (helped by “ἐπι-”), cp. “ἔρχονται πεδίοιο”, Il. 2.801.
