εἴ τιν̓, instead of “εἴτις” (“σθένει”), by assimilation, “εἴτις” being treated as forming a single adj.: Ai. 488 “εἴπερ τινός, σθένοντος ἐν πλούτῳ, Φρυγῶν”: Thuc. 7.21 “τοῦ τε Γυλίππου καὶ Ἑρμοκράτους καὶ εἴ του ἄλλου πειθόντων”: cp. Xen. Anab. 5.2.24 “ἀνέλαμψεν οἰκία...ὅτου δὴ ἐνάψαντος” (some one or other).
