μόγος ἔχει, sc.ἡμᾶς.

ἐπεῖχε, “"bore hardly on you,"sc.ὑμῖν” or “ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς”: for “μόγος ἐπεῖχεν ὑμᾶς” would mean, “"restrained you."” The MS. ἐπεί doubtless arose from a contraction of ἐπεῖχε. The sense of ἐπῄει, “"was coming on you,"” would be less apt; and the preceding ἔχει also confirms ἐπεῖχε.
