Second “ἐπεισόδιον”. Creon comes, in the hope of persuading Oed. to return with him. Failing, he causes his attendants to carry off Antigone,—Ismene having already been captured elsewhere. He is about to seize Oed., when Theseus enters, sends pursuers after Creon's men, and compels Creon himself to set out with him to find them.
