ὀκνοῦντ᾽ ἀνάγκη: i.e., “ὀκνοῦντά με ἀνάγκη διδάσκειν σε”,—feeling such fear as I do, I am constrained to be thus urgent with you. (Not, “"I must thus urge you, since you are slack."”) Wecklein's change to “ὀκνεῖν γ̓” is unnecessary.
