Ζεύς γ᾽ ἂν … σὺ δ᾽ οὔ. The lacuna certainly preceded these words. The words in the strophe answering to “τά γ᾽ οὐ τελεῖ” and to the lacuna are 838 f. “ΧΟ. μέθες χεροῖν ι τὴν παῖδα θᾶσσον”. It is probable, then, that the lost words here belonged to the Chorus, being such as “Ζεύς μοι ξυνίστω”.
