[334] κεκαδών, depriving them; so Od. 21.153 “κεκαδήσει”. The word may be connected with “χάζομαι” so far as the sense goes (a causal aorist, making them give up, like “λελαχεῖν”); if this is so, the proper form would be “κεχαδών”. See note on 4.497 “κεκάδοντο”.
