[22] On the double οὐδέ Schol. A rightly remarks, “ἔστιν μία μὲν ἐπὶ τοῦ πράγματος, θατέρα δὲ ἐπὶ τοῦ προσώπου”: i.e. the second “οὐδέ” goes with “αὐτός” and contrasts the two persons; the first contrasts the two events (one real, the other hypothetical). Cf. 2.703, 6.130.
