[41] σχέτλιος, hard of heart, of Achilles; so of Herakles “σχέτλιος, ὀβριμοεργός,5.403, Od. 21.28. If it were not that the preceding and following verbs both referred to Achilles, it would be more natural to apply the adj. to Hector, rash, in the tone of friendly but shocked remonstrance, which so often belongs to it; see 86, 10.164, 18.13, etc.
