The trans. use is sufficiently established by Od. 19.323ὅς κεν ἐκείνων τοῦτον ἀνιάζηι”, while the intrans. is found in 18.300. 21.270, Od. 4.460, Od. 22.87. Both nom. and acc. give the same sense, and the choice between them is merely a question of authority.
