[776] μέγας μεγαλωστί (also 18.26), the adv. seems to have little force except as an emphatic reduplication of “μέγας”, and is to be compared with “οἰόθεν οἶος7.39, “αἰνόθεν αἰνῶς7.97. For the plur. ἱπποσυνάων, feats of horsemanship, see note on 9.700. So 23.307ἱπποσύνας ἐδίδαξαν”.
