[179] This was a favourite line of Alexander's, Plut. Mor. i. 331.See also Xen. Mem. iii. 2. 2.ἁμφότερον, exactly our idiom, ‘both a good king and. ’ So Pindar O. vi. 17ἀμφότερον μάντίν τ᾽ ἀγαθὸν καὶ δουρὶ μάρνασθαι”.
