[402] ἐκτῆσθαι (Attic “κεκτ”.), perf. infin. here used to represent the plpf.; the direct constr. would be “ὅσα Ἴλιος ἔκτητο”, ‘used to possess.’ For the wealth of Troy see 18.288, 24.543. The cautious guarding line 403 = 22.156; it has probably been inserted here by the same hand to which we owe 382-4.
